Emergency Feeding Readiness Fund

Build the capacity to help feed up to 350,000 people per day during a major emergency.

NOCHI is preparing the people, plans, and partnerships needed for large‑scale emergency feeding in Greater New Orleans. We are raising $3,000,000 to strengthen readiness—so when disaster strikes, meals and relief can move fast.

What we’re building

The New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute (NOCHI) strengthens our region by developing culinary and hospitality talent and by supporting community resilience. In a major disaster, the ability to serve meals at scale is essential infrastructure.

Readiness priorities

  • Pre‑event planning, staffing, and partner coordination
  • Procurement pathways for food, supplies, and equipment at scale
  • Training and exercises to ensure rapid execution
  • Distribution and service coordination with public and private partners
For grantmakers & major donors: Gifts of any size help. Major investments can underwrite core readiness components—planning, training, equipment, and logistics—creating measurable capacity before the next emergency.
